The princess of Cádiz, Claudia Cruz
Claudia Cruz: Cádiz elegance turned into flamenco
This week, our flamenco ensemble renews itself to offer you an experience full of nuances and overflowing talent.
Entering Plaza de Santa Ana during this week, from February 2 to February 8, is to seek refuge in an art that admits no compromises. At Tablao Flamenco 1911, the oldest tablao in the world, flamenco reveals itself as a treasure of exceptional quality, where respect for the essence is our only rule.
Our stage will be the setting for a constant dialogue between three figures who embody excellence in dance: Claudia Cruz, Claudia de Utrera, and Mariano Lozano. Together, they will sustain the pulse of the room from Monday to Sunday, offering an experience filled with personality and technique, but above all with that visceral feeling that only arises when the artist gives themselves without reservation.
The sonic architecture of these nights is born from the masterful playing of Ricardo Vázquez and David Cerreduela, whose guitars will trace the path for a vocal ensemble that grips the soul. In the singing, we will count on the steady presence of Cancu throughout the entire program, accompanied by the depth of Saul Quiros until Friday. With the arrival of the weekend, the resonance of the room will change in tone to welcome the raw voice of José del Calli on Saturday and Sunday.
As a hallmark of our pursuit of tradition, the sensitivity of Jesús Montoya on the flute will provide, until Friday, those spiritual nuances that elevate the performance into a mystical rite. The final heartbeat is guarded by the dynasty of rhythm: Ivan Losada will lead the percussion during the first half of the week, handing over from Friday onward to the mastery of Lucky Losada, ensuring that the heart of Tablao Flamenco 1911 continues to sound true.
We await you where flamenco is lived, breathed, and respected.
