José Maya on stage at Tablao Flamenco 1911
This week, one of the most powerful names in contemporary flamenco shines once again on our stage: José Maya.
This week, our flamenco ensemble renews itself to offer you an experience full of nuances and overflowing talent.
Another week, and the oldest stage in flamenco lights up every night. From Monday 29 June to Sunday 5 July, the company of Tablao Flamenco 1911 once again fills with compás, footwork and quejío the room where the history of this art beats in Madrid.
On stage you’ll find the dance of Claudia Cruz, Claudia de Utrera, Lisi Sfair and José Maya; the cante of Cancu, Perre, Saúl Quirós and Juanjo de Nayeli; the guitars of Tuto and Ricardo Vázquez; the cajón of Lucky Losada; and the saxophone and flute of Jesús Montoya, who bring a very special colour to the nights.
The cast rotates throughout the week, so every show has its own chemistry: no two nights are alike.
Thursday 2 July marks another anniversary of the passing of Camarón de la Isla, the cantaor who changed flamenco forever. The perfect night to let yourself be carried away by arte jondo where it is felt best: live, just a couple of metres away.
Seating is intimate and tickets sell fast. Secure your table and experience flamenco as it has been lived here since 1911.
