The winner of the Festival de las Minas, Paula Rodriguez, in 1911

Born in Santander, Paula captivates with her charm and energy providing a unique show.

Paula began dancing at the age of four at the Centro Autorizado de Danza Armengou and then continued her studies in classical and contemporary dance with Gema de Beraza, Spanish dance with Carmen Armengou and flamenco with Paz Diaz.

In 2007, she completed her studies in Madrid, at the Centro de Danza Española y Flamenco Amor de Dios with teachers such as Truco, María Juncal, Alfonso Losa, Pepa Molina, and more exclusively with the teacher Merche Esmeralda.

In 2011, she has taken classes in Seville with Juana Amaya, Andrés Peña and Ramón Martínez and in 2009 with Mercedes Ruiz in Jerez de la Frontera. The following year she continues her training with Rocío Molina in Barcelona (2010) and with Eva Yerbabuena in Barcelona (2013).

In 2021, Paula has participated in the Festival Flamenco de las Minas, the most prestigious flamenco contest in Spain that any artist wants to win. She obtains the first prize in the modality of desplante, with a sublime Taranto.

Since 2014 she has worked regularly in Madrid tablaos such as “La Taberna de Mister Pinckleton”, “La estación de los Porches”, and “Casapatas”. Since the end of 2017 she has been a regular dancer at the excellent tablao “Cardamomo”, sharing boards with Juan Andrés Maya and Antonio Canales.

She currently directs her own company. Her latest show “Mi Tarara” was premiered in October 2018 with a full capacity of 600 people at the Casyc theater in Santander.
