Marina Perea: roots flamenco dance at Tablao 1911

Málaga-born bailaora Marina Perea returns to the stage of Villa Rosa.

Marina Perea (Málaga, 1989) trained with La Lupi and graduated from the Higher Conservatory of Dance of Málaga. In 2011 she moved to Madrid, where she danced in the city’s great tablaos, among them the historic Villa Rosa, today Tablao Flamenco 1911.

She has toured the United States, Canada, China, Japan and Europe with companies such as La Lupi, Juan de Juan and José Porcel, and has performed at the Festival de Jerez and the Seville and Málaga Biennials. Today she combines dancing with stage direction and projects as current as María Peláez’s band and Yerai Cortés’s Guitarra Coral.

To see her at Tablao 1911 is to reconnect with the art that already lived on this stage when it was Villa Rosa.
