The bailaora Alba Heredia in the oldest tablao in the world

The winner of the "Desplante" Award of the Festival del Cante de las Minas visits us to give us her flamenco art.

Alba was born in Sacromonte, in the cave “La Rocio”. She was baptized by the Duchess of Alba and took her first steps as a dancer when she was only 4 years old. She belongs to the Maya dynasty, one of the most important in the world of flamenco. She is the niece of great artists such as Manolete, Mario Maya, Juan Maya Marote and her cousin Ivan Vargas.

She has shared the bill with artists such as Niña Pastori, José Mercé, “El Guito”, Mario Maya, Eva la Yerbabuena, Manolete, Juan Andrés Maya, KETAMA, Aurora Vargas and “Pansequito” among others.

She taught with great masters such as her uncle Juan Andrés Maya, Iván Vargas, Belén Maya and Rafaela Carrasco among others. Her extensive career has led her to perform solo in various festivals and shows around the world.

She is currently working in the most prestigious tablaos in Granada, Seville and Madrid.
