Juañarito

cantaor

Juan Carrasco Rodriguez, better known as JUAÑARITO, was born on June 7, 1994 in Jerez de la Frontera. This young performer is part of a renowned family of singers within the flamenco universe. Son of Juañares and Chelo Pantoja, and nephew of legendary figures such as Manuel Sordera, Terremoto, José Mercé and Gómez de Jerez.

Despite his young age, he has toured all the corners of the Madrid tablaos, passing through Tablao Las Carboneras de Madrid, Casa Patas and El Candela.

At the age of 18, he was taken in by the company of Antonio Gades, and since then he has taken his performances to various countries around the world.

In May 2014, he won second place in a new talent contest in Alcobendas (Madrid).

In 2015, he participated in the popular television program “La Voz” on Telecinco. He achieved a creditable fourth place in the semifinals, considering the fierce competition.

In 2017, he contributed to the show entitled “Oh Cuba!” where he fused flamenco singing with the poetry of Federico García Lorca. This show starred acclaimed actress Loles León.

She has charted her path as a soloist, continually perfecting her mastery of flamenco and exploring diverse musical currents within the Latin realm. Her voice has resonated on albums by renowned artists, including Isabel Pantoja.

He has also been part of television and radio programs, being a prominent participant in the last episode of the first season of “Arde Madrid”, an original Movistar+ series conceived by Paco León and Anna R. Costa.

Juañarito currently resides in Madrid and can be found singing at the tablaos Cardamomo Flamenco y Tablao Flamenco 1911.
