Alba Heredia

Alba was born in Sacromonte, in the cave “La Rocio”. She was baptized by the Duchess of Alba and took her first steps as a dancer when she was only 4 years old. She belongs to the Maya dynasty, one of the most important in the world of flamenco. She is the niece of the great artists Manolete, Mario Maya, Juan Maya Marote and her cousin Ivan Vargas. Alba works in the famous Zambras de las Cuevas del Sacromonte, leaving astonished all the public that passes through these emblematic caves.

In 1999 she is presented by her uncle Juan Maya Marote in his own tribute with only 4 years old, held at the Palacio de Deportes de Granada sharing the bill with artists such as Niña Pastori, José Mercé, El Guito, Mario Maya, Eva la Yerbabuena, Manolete, Juan Andrés Maya, KETAMA, Aurora Vargas and Pansequito among others.

He made numerous performances with Curro Albayzín in several congresses and festivals promoted by the City Council of Granada. From 2000 to 2004 he began to give classes with great masters such as his uncle Juan Andrés Maya, Iván Vargas, Belén Maya, Rafaela Carrasco, etc. From 2004 to 2014 he performs solo in several festivals and shows. He currently works in the most prestigious tablaos in Granada, Seville and Madrid, with projects abroad, such as the festival in memory of Paco de Lucia in Japan.
