Laura Fúnez

bailaora

Laura was born in Madrid, and began her dance studies at a very young age at the Royal Professional Dance Conservatory Mariemma, where she completed her entire career until she finished it at the age of 17. She won several awards, including Outstanding Dancer in the IV Choreographic Contest of Tetuan and the first prize in the V International Dance Competition of Almeria.

At 25 years old, the young dancer, develops the bolero school in the tablao world with a personal and modern touch. She has participated in different companies of flamenco, stylized dance and Spanish dance, and then started as a soloist in tablaos developing the bolero school and evolving under her own name.

Laura live creates an evolution of what is the bolero school itself in conjunction with the typical flamenco palos and their respective minutes. She mixes both types of dance and uses the same codes that a dancer uses, leading to the interpretation of the bolero school in the tablao.
