Farruquito in Tablao Flamenco 1911

Farruquito dances to Camarón

December 5th 9p.m |10:30p.m

Juan Manuel Fernández Montoya, better known as “FARRUQUITO” presents a special show. A unique opportunity to enjoy the legend of flamenco singing through the best flamenco dancer of today.

Farruquito is heir and transmitter of the dance style of his grandfather “Farruco“, whose art has transcended to become the major reference for young and experienced dancers. He debuted with his grandfather at the age of five in New York. Since then, he has not stopped performing on stage to pay tribute to and make his own the hallmark of this inherited school. At only 13 years of age, he began his tour of Europe and Japan, consolidating an international career that will leave its mark.

He belongs to a great saga of artists, from his mother “La Farruca” and his father “El Moreno” to the rest of his younger brothers, with whom he has performed on several occasions. A family full of art, which we are going to enjoy in its maximum exponent. We can affirm that Farruquito is a dancer of great mastery whom all his colleagues admire, respect and have as a reference.

Unique show

On this occasion Farruquito makes a stop in Madrid to take the stage of the oldest flamenco tablao in the world. A unique date that will coincide with the birth of Camarón de la Isla, king of flamenco singing. This event will bring back memories of unforgettable moments for Farruquito, such as the recording of the video clip Camarón nuestro. A unique opportunity to enjoy the “captain” remembering the genius of “la Isla” through his lyrics in a small and exclusive space.

His show transmits a unique, virtuous and exciting quality. A bailaor capable of connecting the opinion of flamenco connoisseurs and neophytes in one word: Memorable.

Special Cast

We are pleased to have the best artists of Spain who will accompany us in this unique show.

In the dance we will have Nazaret Reyes accompanying the master Farruquito. This young dancer from Morón de la Frontera, Seville, is already an international star. Her experience on stage began at the end of the shows of her mother, Juana Amaya. From the age of five until now, her career has not stopped growing until she has become an international reference.

We propose an expanded cast of singers and guitarists. We will have three singers on stage who will support the dance and provide magical moments. Always well accompanied by the best guitarists of the national flamenco scene.

A night to remember

We propose a show in which you will be infected by the feelings and emotions that Juan Fernandez will evoke remembering the great king of flamenco singing. Moments like his recording of the video clip Camarón nuestro in which a very young Farruquito had the opportunity to dance to the master. Farruquito dances to Camarón on the night of his birth for the first time in our tablao. A unique show that will take place in a special space, centenary and with reduced capacity.
