Pablo Fraile, an outstanding flamenco dancer, was born in Guadalajara, Spain, in 1987. He began his dance and music studies in his hometown and then moved to Madrid to focus completely on his flamenco passion. During the years 1998 and 1999, he amazed as a finalist in the “VEO VEO” Awards, an event presented by Teresa Rabal, captivating the audience with his steps in the majestic Campoamor Theater in Oviedo (Asturias).
He performed as a soloist in various theaters in the capital, under the tutelage of his teacher Juan Manuel Carrillo. He has traveled to countries such as China, Japan and Russia, sharing the stage with renowned dancers. He has participated in galas throughout Spain and has been part of renowned companies, such as Antonio Canales, Cecilia Gómez, Alfonso Losa and Miguel Cañas. His passion led him to explore international stages, sharing his art in countries such as China, Japan and Russia, where he shared the stage with notable dancers, including the classical Faruk and other Quirov artists.
His talent spread through galas all over Spain, from the Basque Country to Castilla-La Mancha. He also left an unforgettable mark in emblematic Madrid tablaos such as Casa Patas, Las Tablas, Cardamomo Flamenco and Las Carboneras. He stood out by winning the First Prize at La Calahorra Flamenca de Córdoba, an award that had also been won by figures such as Sara Baras and Eva La Hierbabuena.
In the theatrical field, he performed for 5 months at the Teatro Arenal with Raúl Ortega’s company. In a transcendental step, he joined the choreographer Javier Latorre and, accompanied by the music of Chicuelo, he performed “La Celestina” in the flamenco ballet Shoji Kojima, consolidating his presence in Japan.
He has also been part of Tito Losada’s company as a soloist performing “Las Mil y Una Noches” and in the “Misa Flamenca”.
Today, he is an essential member of the company of Antonio Canales, excelling in interpretations of works such as “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” by Federico García Lorca, under the direction of Luis Pasqual, presented on stages such as the Teatro de Madrid, the Forum in Barcelona and the Teresa Carreño in Caracas (Venezuela). His art also extends to Colombia, participating in the Bogota Flamenco Festival with Antonio Canales, presenting “Soledades, Piedra y Cielo“. His career took him to places like the Festival de Jerez (Teatro Villamarta) and the Bienal de Sevilla (Teatro Maestranza), again with Javier Latorre in the play “La Celestina”.
Currently, he continues his artistic journey as a fundamental part of Cecilia Gómez’s company, assuming leading roles alongside Antonio Canales. Pablo Fraile’s career is a living testimony to his passion for flamenco and his commitment to dance, a legacy that has left an indelible mark on the artistic world.
