Belén López: The Flamenco Star in the Cathedral
Only the greatest step onto the world’s oldest flamenco stage. This week, the incomparable Belén López brings her art to Madrid in an intimate and exclusive performance.
José de la Miguela is a flamenco singer from the neighbourhood of La Mina, in Sant Adriá de Besós, Barcelona.
Since he was a child, he has been very aware of flamenco. From a gypsy family, José became interested in flamenco singing at a very early age, singing in small gatherings and circles.
His love of flamenco led him to become a professional, accompanying some of the greatest flamenco artists in tablaos and theatres in Spain. He has worked with dancers of the stature of Antonio Canales, Farruquito, Karime Amaya and Alfonso Losa.
