Born in New Mexico, Illeana has a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts and for the past few years has been fully dedicated to her training as a dancer in different cities in Spain. She has studied with the best flamenco artists and teachers, including Juana Amaya, Farruquito, Carmen Ledesma, Alfonso Losa, Jose Maya, Adela Campallo, Yolanda Heredia, among others.
She has participated in the most important dance competitions, obtaining outstanding positions. Illeana has toured prestigious theaters and festivals showing her art all over the world. Some of them are: Joyce Theater in New York, dance festival: Jacob’s Pillow (USA), and Albuquerque Flamenco Festival (USA).
In 2010 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Dance being the first student in the history of the USA to obtain this degree with a focus on flamenco. She currently works in different tablaos in Madrid sharing the stage with great artists.
